Note: we partner with Klarna and Affirm so you have a choice but there is no difference in how the process works. If you already have an account with one of them, we advise trying with that company since it'll be quicker to get approved!

Once you have an account set up

- Check that your purchasing power is enough to cover your estimate

If your purchasing power (Klarna) or prequalified spend (Affirm) is not enough to cover your estimate, you can still try to finance your repairs but must ensure you have a backup payment method in the event that you are unable to finance.

How does it work?
Buy Now Pay Later allows you to pay for your service in 4 interest-free installments with each payment spaced out by two weeks.
Does it impact my credit score?
The short answer is no, when you sign up for Klarna and Affirm there is no hard credit check.
Klarna does not perform a hard credit check when you sign up (more info), when you decide to pay in 4 they perform a soft check which does not affect your credit score and will not be visible to other lenders (more info).
Signing up for Affirm or getting prequalified does not affect your credit score (more info). Affirm does report to credit bureaus if you take out a loan with them.
What if I am not approved?
Like any credit application, not all applications are successful. Please note, NuBrakes and your technician are not involved in this process at all. We do partner with both Klarna and Affirm so that, even if you are not able to use one provider, you can still try the other.
If you are not approved by either Klarna or Affirm, you will not be able to finance your repairs and will need to pay in full on the day of your appointment. We recommend signing up ahead of time and making sure you are pre-approved before your technician begins repairs!
Do I have to pay anything on the day of my appointment?
Yes, usually your first payment will be due the day of your appointment.
Which financing option should I choose (Klarna or Affirm)?
It's completely up to you! There is no real difference in how the process works, we offer both since people might have an account with one already and so you have the choice.
If you do already have an account with one provider, we would suggest trying them first since the sign-up process will probably be easier.
